This week’s theme is about the Canadian history.
The first link is an introduction to Canada. Play this link, and then answer the following questions:
  1. How many provinces are there in Canada? Canada consists  of  ten provinces.
  2. Which cities are the capitals of China, United States, and Canada? Beijing, Washington, and Ottawa
  3. Which is the largest city in Canada? Toronto
  4. What does "CN" in CN Tower stand for? Canadian National,
  5. Write the meaning of the following words and then place each one in a sentence of your own:
  • Landmark
    • adjoins
    • coastal
    • peninsula



    Landmark - a building or a place that is easily recognized, especially one that you can use to judge where you are

    Adjoins -  to be close to or in contact with

    Coastal - Land next to the sea

    Peninsula - a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water.
