Don’t miss Armenia

Don’t miss Armenia

Welcome to Armenia - the ancient state of unique traditions and culture.
Armenia is located on the border of Europe and Asia.
Armenia is a first state in the world adopted christianity in 301. There are many churches with unique architecture and history. Some of them have survived many wars and destructions. One of them is Tatev Monastery 9th century, located on a large basalt plateau. You can reach there on a longest non-stop double track cable car in the world.
But in spite of huge christian influence you still can find pagan temple of Garni. Built probably in the first century it is a Greco-Roman colonnaded building.
Armenia is a mostly mountainous country with a beautiful sightseeings and a  largest high-altitude freshwater lake in Eurasia - Sevan.

Also being in Armenian capital Yerevan you should visit Matenadaran. It is a museum of ancient books, where you can find the biggest and the smallest bibles in the world, and many other old books as well.
You cannot find any other architecture like Yerevan’s in the world. You can walk in the city, admire on every step and have some food in restaurants and cafes which you can find a lot.
It is amazing how that small city could house so many theaters, museums and a big opera theatre.
