my presentation

Presentation
I would like to tell you about my job, how I started doing this, what I have done, and what I would like to do in future. I studied 3 years in college and 4 years in the university as an engineer. It was an interesting experience, but it didn’t inspire me. I worked very short, only a year, and then my daughter was born. I wanted to raise her myself because I am very restless mother. And then my secon daughter was born, and I was sitting at home again. I needed an interesting occupation at home. Once I made some jewelry for myself and people noticed that. Then I started making them for my friends and sisters. Finally I found my style, the style that no one had created before. In my works I use different materials combinations, like linen tied, leather gemstones, paints, dried flowers, epoxy and stuff.
When I could make accessories with high enough quality I needed to sell them. And now I needed a market for my products. There are lot of souvenirs and gift shops in our country. I went there one by one and presented my products. And for this business, aside making high quality products, I also needed presentation and negotiation skills.
I was invited to different exhibitions and also I gave some master classes for children and adults.
Some clients were ordering something specific. That is much more hard task to create something that other person has imagined.
Once a woman came to me. She told me a story about her little grandson who pulled a hot kettle and she managed to grip it, but as a result she burned her wrist and a big scar remained. She wanted me to create a bracelet, which would cover her burned skin, would be suitable to all clothing styles, would have a colour suitable with maximum other colors, would be elastic and without rivets, and also wide. You need to think a lot to make your client happy.
Accessories which I make now are short-lived and they need careful treatment. My dream is to work with silver, because from that material you can make exclusive accessories which will remain for ages.

  1. A very well-written autobiographical story! Thanks for sharing it! Let's see if we could use the editing checklist on it, perhaps next week.
